Even Donald never thought he would accomplish this—and the media won’t say a word about it.
The President cares deeply about ensuring our nation has a strong financial future so that the American people can feel secure again.
President Trump won the election on November 8th, 2016. On November 29th, a mere 21 days later, he shocked the nation by keeping a major campaign promise before he was even sworn in.
Trump somehow convinced AC manufacturer Carrier to keep their gas furnace plant in Indiana, saving about 800 jobs that the company says otherwise would have been relocated to Mexico. Trump frequently stated on the campaign trail that he would restore economic growth and create millions of new jobs, and the Carrier deal was proof he was sincere.
Trump has been exceeding America’s expectations ever since. Under Trump we’ve seen countless regulations slashed, historic tax reform passed and GDP growth stimulated to levels not seen in a decade. These changes are causing upward mobility across social classes.
Few areas have seen greater improvement than the job market, and a new report states that one very significant category has hit a 50-year low.
From Washington Examiner:
New claims for unemployment benefits fell 8,000 to 207,000 in the second week of July, the Department of Labor reported Thursday morning, the lowest such number since 1969.
Forecasters had expected new jobless claims to edge up to around 220,000. Instead, fewer people sought unemployment insurance than anytime in 48 years.
Thursday’s benchmark is especially impressive given that the labor force is twice as large as it was in late 1969.
High employment rates are not only tied to a nation’s economic health, but to an individual’s self-esteem. These numbers are not only restoring confidence in our economy, they’re helping Americans to feel empowered again.
Companies are feeling empowered as well, and are hiring like never before. In fact, there are more jobs available than there are people to fill them, something that hasn’t happened in decades.
In the past three months alone, an average of 211,000 new jobs were added to the economy. This is double the amount of new jobs needed to keep the unemployment rate falling.
President Trump deserves major credit for all he’s done to make this happen, but the news media will fail to report on these successes and will instead continue their attacks on a man who is dedicated to restoring prosperity to America.
The Left and their cronies who control the airwaves can’t stop the Trump train, and they can either hop on board or get out of the way.
Promises made, promises kept.
