They didn’t know what hit them—”The Donald!”

Since Donald Trump announced his candidacy as president, he was at odds with one force. Mexico.

He called out the nation for allowing illegal immigrants to flood the United States. Trump did not mince words when he said those sneaking in were bad people.

The liberal media jumped on this, calling Trump everything from racist to xenophobic. His calls to build a wall on the border were further “proof” that he was an adversary to our Southern neighbor.

Former Mexico presidents were not friendly to Trump. And, if you believe our lying media, Mexico clearly hates our president.

But what do you know! Trump just scored a massive win with Mexico. A lucrative trade deal that will kill off NAFTA. They said it couldn’t be done.

But hey, these were the same people who said Trump wouldn’t be president.

From AP News:

Snubbing Canada, the Trump administration reached a preliminary deal Monday with Mexico to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement — a move that raised legal questions and threatened to disrupt the operations of companies that do business across the three-country trade bloc.

President Donald Trump suggested that he might leave Canada, America’s No. 2 trading partner, out of a new agreement. He said he wanted to call the revamped trade pact “the United States-Mexico Trade Agreement” because, in his view, NAFTA had earned a reputation as being harmful to American workers.

But first, he said, he would give Canada a chance to get back in — “if they’d like to negotiate fairly.” To intensify the pressure on Ottawa to agree to his terms, the president threatened to impose new taxes on Canadian auto imports.

To those not paying attention, this seemed impossible. If we were going to score a deal with anyone, it would be Canada, right?

We haven’t had nearly a contentious relationship with Canada in recent years than we’ve had with Mexico. Yet Trump once again defies all expectations in landing this trade deal.

It comes none too soon. NAFTA was a terrible deal that nearly destroyed many American industries. Foreign companies would build plants in Mexico or Canada and dump the products into the U.S.

It gave businesses a loophole so they wouldn’t have to build factories in the United States. That hurt existing factories as well as deprive workers of future opportunity.

You have Bill Clinton to thank for that.

This new deal will put American workers first. Mexico had everything to lose if the U.S. ended NAFTA. You better believe they were eager to negotiate.

And don’t be surprised if funding for the wall was included in this deal.

Canada, on the other hand, arrogantly thought they didn’t have to play ball. Their super liberal leaders have bashed America since Trump entered office. Now they’re going to have to come to the table if they want a good deal.
