Days After Assassination Attempt, Trump Now Leads in 2 Swing States

The world is still reeling from the second assassination attempt on Donald Trump’s life. This one involved a crazed gunman staking out Trump’s golf course in Palm Beach, Florida for twelve hours last Sunday, waiting for the chance to shoot the former president.

Thankfully, the Secret Service managed to thwart this attack before the wannabe assassin fired off a shot. However, this was the second assassination on Trump in just 64 days.

Back in July, Trump was shot in the ear in an incident that was the first assassination attempt on a current or former president in over 40 years. These two assassination attempts taking place so close together have led many to question what impact the latest one will have on Trump’s polling numbers.

Now, the numbers are starting to come in, and they are looking very good for Trump in the crucial swing states of Pennsylvania and Georgia. In each of those states, Trump has taken the lead over Kamala Harris!

From Breitbart News:
An InsiderAdvantage survey in the Keystone State, taken September 14-15, 2024, shows Trump leading Vice President Kamala Harris by two percentage points — 50 percent to Harris’s 48 percent support. Another one percent support “other,” and another one percent remain undecided.

The survey notes that it was fielded before the second assassination attempt on Trump, but it adds that it “also included responses during and after news of the incident broke.”

“The extent to which the news was pervasive or influenced respondents would be guesswork. However the survey gives us at least a partial look at what impact the incident might have on his numbers,” the survey found.

Here’s the poll details:

Given how tight the race is between Trump and Harris, this is huge.

Despite the severity of the first assassination attempt on Trump, Democrats and the mainstream media tried to make the American people forget about it as quickly as possible. They still never stop talking about the January 6 riots from back in 2021. Yet within days of a former president being shot for the first time in decades, the left was barely mentioning it as they returned to their violently anti-Trump rhetoric.

A second assassination attempt in just two months, however, has caused millions of voters to take notice. Many have now had enough of the constant Trump-bashing. Indeed, they’ve seen the potential danger that the hateful words of the left have put Trump in.

The latest assassination attempt has likely led to many voters having some sympathy for Trump that they may not have had before. This has potentially caused them to take a step back from the race and actually compare Trump and Harris’ policies. When doing that, it quickly becomes obvious to anyone with even a tiny bit of intelligence that Trump’s America looks far better than Harris’ America.

Much of this race will come down to Pennsylvania and Georgia. The fact that Trump has pulled ahead in each of these swing states just six weeks before election day bodes incredibly well for him.

Harris and her fellow Democrats may have thought that she had this race in the bag. In the end, they may be in for a brutal wakeup call come November.

Key Takeaways:

  • Trump takes the lead in Pennsylvania and Georgia.
  • This comes after the second assassination attempt against Trump in 64 days.
  • Pennsylvania and Georgia are two crucial swing states in this election.
