Democrats shocked Americans this week by indicting Donald Trump for a fourth time. It’s getting hard for the left to convince voters these indictments have to do with anything but the 2024 Election. Problems have been raised by legal experts and pundits over this latest case. Democrats are using tweets as evidence against Trump and the other defendants.
And Democrats in Georgia are charging Trump with accusations already addressed by the DOJ.
But the problems for the left continue to mount. So much of a case like this hinges on the judge overseeing it. This man or woman will have to make decisions that could affect the outcome of the case… and the freedom of numerous defendants. Well, the judge over this case has been chosen–and Democrats aren’t dancing in the streets.

About six months into his new gig, he was assigned to oversee perhaps the biggest case in Georgia history: the criminal indictment of former President Donald Trump…
McAfee was randomly assigned the case, but he has worked for key people involved in the events of 2020: Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, a fellow Republican… and Fani Willis, the Democratic district attorney in Fulton County whose more than 2½-year probe led to the charges.
The judge that will oversee this latest indictment against Trump is Judge Scott McAfee, a 34-year-old man who only became a judge last February. McAfee has a long history working in Georgia, however. And he’s worked closely with both the Republican governor of the state and the Democrat prosecutor going after Trump.
What does this mean?
Americans might be assured that McAfee will be unbiased in his handling of this case. But that’s a big problem for Democrats, who were needing a judge leaning to the left. A judge can decide where a trial is held when the trial begins, and a million other things. If a Democrat-leaning judge was assigned to this case, then the prosecutor would have had an upper hand.
According to reports, Judge McAfee is fair, intelligent, very knowledgeable of criminal law, and patient. It might be the very best judge to handle this case appropriately. And that’s now what leftists wanted.
Democrats need a judge sympathetic to their agenda, along with a jury eager to condemn Trump. But with a young judge who has experience working with both parties, the left might have already lost.
