Many people have questioned the “expert” models regarding the current epidemic. Some skeptics say such models are over-exaggerated and inaccurate.

Well, President Trump just admitted that the coronavirus model the White House has been using could be a little…off.

Actually, it might be a LOT off, according to Donald.

It’s turning out that we need less hospital beds.

We may have models, but we’ve been sort of saying that. In New York, we were saying we think you’re gonna need less.

The model came from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME). But it seems they may have overshot with their prediction.

They first claimed New York would require upwards of 65,000 hospital beds by April 4. But only 15,905 were actually used by that date.

That’s a very big difference.

The President didn’t say if he’d change the type of models he’d be using, but this is certainly food for thought.

Maybe now Trump will consider different models from different sources more thoroughly, because the current virus predictions don’t appear 100 percent accurate.

To me, it seems obvious that the initial projections and the current numbers aren’t lining up. And that would be encouraging, at least for now.

And how reliable are these models if they’re off by 50,000 beds in their estimation? I guess we’ll see.

If I were Trump, I’d certainly look at other experts and sources, because the current models don’t appear to be holding up.
