New Jersey is considered a securely blue state. Yet that didn’t stop this incredible showing at Trump’s rally. It is probable that Trump supporters traveled from other states to attend. But most states surrounding New Jersey are considered Democrat strongholds.
No matter how you slice these numbers, it spells bad news for Democrats. New Jersey has shown signs of moving to the right. And its neighbor, Pennsylvania, will be a critical swing state in this election. Even a growing number of New York voters appear souring on Biden and Democrats.
This massive turnout appears to be further proof that Trump is gaining momentum, not losing it. It is highly unlikely Biden could produce this kind of turnout, even in a deep red state like California.
