Trump’s New Pick Makes 1 Huge Promise – ‘Every Penny’ Will Go Toward 1 Thing

Republican National Committee leader Ronna McDaniel has faced intense criticism in recent years. Members have called for her to be removed from her position after reports have come out questioning how she’s spent the party’s money.

Some blame her for the party’s failure to produce a red wave in recent elections. Most recently, reports have come out stating she plans to step down.

Trump quickly endorsed several people to take over party leadership. One of those people happens to be his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump. The potential future co-chair of the party spoke about what she’d do if elected to this position. And she’s not going to be buying flowers!

From Washington Examiner:
Former President Donald Trump‘s pick for Republican National Committee co-chairwoman has vowed to use “every single penny” from the committee to do what she claims is its “only job,” getting Trump elected in November…

…she will not use RNC funds for unnecessary expenditures, such as flowers…

“Here’s what I can tell you. The RNC needs to be the leanest, most lethal political fighting machine we’ve ever seen in American history. That is the goal over the next 9 1/2 months,” Lara Trump said. “If I am elected to this position, I can assure you, there will not be any more $70,000 or whatever exorbitant amount of money it was spent on flowers.”

Lara Trump took a shot at embattled Ronna McDaniel when discussing her possible election to RNC leadership. She vowed that “every single penny” the RNC receives would be used to get Donald Trump elected as president.

She hit McDaniel over reports that revealed the RNC spent upwards of $70,000 on floral arrangements for events. The RNC struggled to raise money last year, falling well behind Democrats. That could have been due to McDaniels’ mismanagement or the fact that the party was hosting debates for candidates few were supporting.

Donald Trump had called on the party to end the debates and spend money on defeating Joe Biden. Could voters have held back money to the RNC, waiting until Trump wins the nomination? That could be the case, which is why Laura Trump is making this strong vow.

It shouldn’t be a surprise to hear Trump’s daughter-in-law endorsing him. But it might sour anti-Trump party voters, who want RNC leadership to be more neutral. Despite that, it’s clear from polling that most Republicans want Trump back—and Lara is listening to them.

Key Takeaways:

  • Possible future RNC co-chair Laura Trump vowed to spend every penny on getting Trump elected.
  • She took a shot at current RNC leader McDaniel who reportedly spent $70,000 on flowers.
  • Calls for McDaneil to resign have grown, with reports indicating she will soon.
