Trump Prosecutor’s Secret Just Slipped Out – Look Who Gave Him Big Bucks Behind Closed Doors

Democrats and their intentions to “get Trump” keep hitting the news during the various trials against the former president. Donald Trump has been attacked by leftist Democrats at every level of the criminal justice system. Who’s getting tired of the onslaught?

This is a system that once upheld ideals such as truth, innocent until proven guilty, and equal justice under the law. All that seems to be tossed out the window by zealous Democrats hell-bent on destroying Trump before the November presidential election.

Another Democrat was exposed for a secret that could give Trump an edge in one of his trials. A clear conflict of interest was revealed as Trump fights New York prosecutors over alleged “hush money.”

From the Daily Caller:
The lead prosecutor for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against former President Donald Trump received thousands of dollars from the Democratic National Committee (DNC) in 2018, Federal Election Commission (FEC) records show.

Matthew Colangelo, who was President Joe Biden’s acting associate attorney general and spent two years in the current president’s Department of Justice (DOJ), joined the Manhattan District Attorney’s office as senior counsel in December 2022. The lawyer received $12,000 from the DNC in 2018 for “political consulting” in two payments of $6,000 on Jan. 31 of that year, FEC records show.

The payment plans were first reported by Fox News. The truth has come out about the conflict of interest, but Trump had his First Amendment rights to speak about it stripped by the judge in the case. Judge Juan Merchan imposed a gag order on Trump that prevents him from speaking about any prosecutor other than Bragg.

Colangelo joined the case against Trump in 2022 during the early investigation by Bragg. Trump is accused of authorizing a $130,000 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels to keep her silent regarding an alleged affair. Colangelo opened the trial with statements for the prosecution that Trump falsified business documents regarding the payment as part of a broader plan to enact “election fraud” in 2016.

Trump has publicly characterized the trial as “election interference,” calling it the “Biden witch hunt” and the “Biden Case.” Trump has denied any affair with Daniels, who provided a salacious testimony in court this week. Her testimony was labeled outrageous and inadmissible by a variety of legal authorities.

U.S. House Judiciary Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) has demanded documents related to Colangelo from the Department of Justice. Jordan said Colangelo’s position in the New York trial against Trump gives the “perception that the Justice Department is assisting in Bragg’s politicized prosecution.”

The more this trail drags on, the more likely there will be more secrets revealed that expose Democrats for their political affiliations that appear to show a collective effort to “get Trump.” It appears Democrats plan to go full force in these cases, otherwise there will be a harsh reckoning for them at the ballot box in November.
