Americans were outraged when Fox News suddenly and without explanation fired their biggest host, Tucker Carlson. It came out sooner afterward that Fox is hardly the “conservative” outlet it claims to be–prioritizing woke ideology over conservative values. And Tucker was fired because he spoke his mind and refused to bow to the corporate left.
Fox News hasn’t recovered ever since. They tried to shut down Carlson’s new show on Twitter, but he continues–enjoying millions of viewers. Fox, however, is struggling to regain the viewers it lost after canning Tucker’s show. They’ve been burning through hosts, none of whom could replace Carlson. And now, they are left with only one choice.

After foolishly firing Tucker Carlson, Fox News was left scrambling to fix its weekly prime-time lineup. Clearly, the network hadn’t thought through what it would do after canceling Tucker. They struggled to come up with a new lineup that worked and now have to settle for this.
Jesse Watters, who played second banana to Sean Hannity and other hosts, will be getting the much-coveted 8 PM time slot. Laura Ingraham will be on at 7 PM. And Greg Gutfeld, who was dominating in the late night time slot, will be pushed up earlier.
It remains to be seen if Watters can make the most of this time slot. While a notable host in his own right, he lacks the drive and wit of a Tucker Carlson. It seems Fox News keeps killing the geese that lay the golden eggs.
