When Joe Biden won the 2020 Democratic nomination, he quickly pivoted to appease the far left. He hired many of Sen. Bernie Sanders’ campaign staffers. The socialist Democrat helped shape Biden’s economic policy, which has resulted in skyrocketing inflation and energy prices.
With the election around the corner, Sen. Sanders is back stumping for Joe Biden. Sanders has voted with Biden the vast majority of the time.
It shouldn’t surprise us that Sanders is eager to endorse a second Biden term. During an interview, he tried to praise Biden’s “success” with the economy. But he made a statement that exposed the reality of Americans’ problems.
From Breitbart:
On Monday’s broadcast of NBC’s “Late Night,” Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) stated that while we have “60% of workers living paycheck to paycheck,” people should vote to re-elect President Joe Biden because the economy “is really doing well, unemployment, extremely low, we’re creating a whole lot of jobs, rebuilding manufacturing in America.”
Sen. Bernie Sanders struggled to endorse Joe Biden for a second term. During an interview, he was forced to explain why he wants Americans to vote for a president with the worst approval ratings in 70 years.
Sanders spent most of the time spreading the same tired attacks against former President Trump. He tried to emphasize the many problems facing Americans, as reasons for voting for Biden. Yet he dropped an unintended bomb on Joe Biden by saying 60% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.
Sanders claimed the economy is “really doing well,” yet admitted that most Americans don’t have any money in the bank. How can the economy be doing really well, when 60% of folks can’t keep their heads above water?
Sanders and other Democrats point to things like unemployment numbers. Yet they ignore those numbers don’t tell the whole picture, like people who are underemployed, meaning they have a job, but are not earning enough to provide for their families.
Under President Biden, inflation has gotten so bad, that Americans have made drastic cuts to their spending. That has only hurt businesses of all kinds. High gas and energy prices are further increasing costs, hurting Americans’ quality of life.
Sanders also failed to mention the exploding border crisis, which directly impacts the economy. Millions of illegal immigrations have flooded the country, competing for the same jobs, houses, and resources as Americans.
If Sanders wishes to make a convincing plea for Biden’s second term, he’ll have to do a lot better than that.
Key Takeaways:
- Sen. Sanders tried to endorse Joe Biden’s re-election campaign during an interview.
- He inadvertently hurt Biden when he admitted that 60% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.
- The socialist tried to pump up Biden by claiming the economy is “really doing well.”
