‘The View’ Co-Host Launches Attack on Trump – Immediately Gets Fact-Checked
‘The View’ Co-Host Launches Attack on Trump – Immediately Gets Fact-Checked

The women of The View have been in full meltdown mode in the weeks since Donald Trump defeated their beloved Kamala Harris in the presidential election. They’re still in shock that Trump trounced Harris not only in the Electoral College but also in the popular vote.

This ABC talk show was once made up of a group of women with diverse political opinions. Now, however, The View’s panel consists of five women who all voted for Harris, making the program a real snooze-fest to watch.

One of these women is Sunny Hostin, who is perhaps the most radically liberal of them all. This week, Hostin ranted against American voters prioritizing kitchen table issues over what she described as Trump being a threat to democracy. She then outrageously and falsely claimed that Trump never talked about core economic issues like the price of eggs during his campaign.

Unfortunately for Hostin, however, this didn’t end well for her. Indeed, she found herself being hit with a brutal fact check!

From Fox News:
“Most people are saying, ‘Well this was a kitchen table issue, this was about the cost of eggs.’ Donald Trump never talked about the price of eggs,” Hostin said on Tuesday.

Despite Hostin’s allegation, Trump spoke about the high cost of eggs multiple times during his campaign. He shared an infographic to Truth Social in September showing how various grocery staples were more expensive under the Biden administration than they were under Trump. In addition to showing that milk prices were up, as well as the price of ham and chicken, Trump’s graphic pointed out that the price of a case of eggs was up $2 from during his administration.

During a campaign stop at a Pennsylvania grocery store that same month, then-vice presidential candidate JD Vance lamented about the price of eggs to reporters, stating, “Eggs, when Kamala Harris took office, were short of $1.50 a dozen. Now, a dozen eggs will cost you around $4 thanks to her inflationary policies.”

Trump Campaigned On Grocery Prices And Inflation

Last month, while being interviewed by personal finance expert and radio host Dave Ramsey, Trump talked about “$8 eggs, $5 gas, 7% interest rates and a house they can’t afford, with wages not going up as fast as house prices.”

Contrary to what Hostin said, grocery prices and inflation were key topics that Trump frequently campaigned on. And why wouldn’t they be? In Biden-Harris’ America, inflation skyrocketed as the economy went to shambles. This left millions of Americans struggling just to put food on the table.

Hostin is reportedly paid $1.6 million per year on The View, making her a clear member of the liberal elite. With her millions of dollars, Hostin has no idea what it’s like to be a struggling member of the working class in Biden-Harris’ America. The price of eggs may not matter to someone who has money to spare as Hostin does, but it certainly matters to millions of Americans struggling to make ends meet.

How dare a liberal elitist like Hostin slam Americans for voting on kitchen-table economic issues? While Hostin’s take is despicable, it’s not surprising. Indeed, the liberal elites in America have long looked down their noses on the working-class Americans who decided this election.

No wonder mainstream media shows like The View are more irrelevant than ever.

Key Takeaways:

  • The View’s Sunny Hostin claims Trump didn’t talk about the price of eggs while campaigning.
  • Hostin immediately got fact-checked, as Trump talked about eggs many times.
  • The View panel consists of five bitter Harris voters. Sad!
