For many years, Americans have complained about the so-called “War on Christmas.” It appears there is a trend in the country to erase the religious aspects of the holiday.
Often, people say “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas” out of fear of offending someone. Political correctness has been blamed for attempts to wipe the Birth of Christ from our culture entirely.
Now, a famed Christmas display is under fire. This internationally beloved tradition has been targeted by extremist activists. But this time, it is not the “woke” progressive left.

A pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel Muslim group is calling for a demonstration at the lighting of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center. A post to Instagram called for “mobilization” of the “Priests of Palestine” to disrupt the Christmas celebration.
This is the most recent event by anti-Israel, Muslim groups that show hostility to not the Jewish nation, but America itself. Pro-Palestinian demonstrators have vandalized national monuments and public buildings (including the NY Public Library) in their opposition to Israel.
Now, it is possible that these same extremists will cause damage to the Rockefeller tree or other parts of the display.
Many progressives have sided with these anti-Israel forces, perhaps because they share a hatred for American values and traditions. This call to disrupt a Christmas display seems to have little connection to the Israel-Hamas conflict. Perhaps it has more to do with these groups’ hatred for America and Christianity?
Many Americans will draw that conclusion. Pro-Palestinian rallies, marches, and demonstrations have been held in America–mostly on college campuses and large cities. These events have had little impact on the actual war in the Middle East.
But they have disrupted daily life in this country and have put American citizens in harm’s way. Now, these pro-Palestinian forces are trying to disrupt a Christmas celebration. They appear to be trying to disrupt and ruin American culture, values, and traditions, for the sake of their Israel hatred.
