Woke Democrats won’t seem satisfied until every last American bow to their radical whims.
They’ve even freaked out over states that passed laws protecting children from drag shows and dangerous medical procedures. And of course, they’re furious that the Supreme Court protected American religious rights over the LGBT mob.
Now, their latest attempt at trying to control what you say comes in the form of a House bill.
This bill strikes at the heart of the most sacred institution in our country: Freedom of Speech and the First Amendment. But if Democrats had it their way, they’d scrub it clean to placate their LGBT allies.

New legislation proposed in the House would remove the words ‘husband’ and ‘wife’ from federal law and replace them with a range of terms such as ‘spouse.’
The ‘Amend the Code for Marriage Equality Act,’ introduced by California Democrat Julia Brownley, seeks to amend a number of existing laws by striking the terms ‘husband’ and ‘wife’ from their text.
The proposed legislation moves to substitute the words with phrases such as ‘a married couple,’ ‘married person’ and ‘person who has been, but is no longer, married to’’ depending on the context.
Talk about 1985!
A House Democrat (from California, of course) is pushing a bill that would ban the federal government from using such obvious words like “husband” or “wife.” Instead, the bill would require woke, “inclusive” terms that wouldn’t offend homosexuals or lesbians. The bill would rewrite the English language, in order to further redefine marriage.
Rep. Brownley wants basic, common sense terms like husband and wife to be replaced with “married person.” Ooo, how romantic and loving! She doesn’t even like “ex-wife” or “ex-husband” and instead wants something as ridiculous as “person who has been, but is no longer, married to.”
Political correctness really has taken over, hasn’t it?
Never mind the fact that there are much bigger issues affecting our nation… like, you know, an open border!?
This is straight out of the dystopian world of Orwell’s 1985, where the evil regime kept re-writing the dictionary to not only control speech, but thought. Today, we are not allowed to say “husband” or “wife” out of fear of offending homosexuals.
We have to change the laws to make sure gay couples are included, even when many Americans still refuse to acknowledge gay marriage.
Democrats don’t care. For them, America is not about freedom–but about forcing their views onto the masses. And this is hardly the end of it. The only silver lining is that this bill won’t ever reach the House floor–for now.
