“There’s a huge diversity issue and they’re afraid of what folks are going to say,” added this source, who said they learned of the effort from multiple people briefed by Dunn and confirmed at least one person from outside the administration did speak with Jean-Pierre.
Top aides within the Biden White House, including White House communications chief Anita Dunn, tried to get Karine Jean-Pierre to leave her post. They enlisted Democrats from outside the administration to encourage KJP to move on.
It seems the White House was growing “exasperated” over Jean-Pierre’s performance. They wanted people that she knew and trusted to convince her it was best for her career to leave the high-visible job.
The reason they did this, instead of firing her, was because of “optics.” KJP is the first black and openly gay person to hold the job. The cowardly White House liberals feared backlash from her and others, that they were “mistreating” a minority—even though she is terrible at her job.
Sources said it was a “diversity issue,” which is code for, “We are too scared to fire a black lesbian.” This is pretty typical of this White House, and many liberal-run organizations in America. They crow on and on about how much they “respect” gay Americans and people of color. So much so, that they are too afraid to confront someone who is doing a bad job, because of their identity.
So, KJP can continue doing a poor job—at the cost of Biden’s reelection—because Democrats don’t have the guts to fire her.
