A common trend among liberals, these days, is to demand reparations for black Americans. Even though no living black person was a slave, Democrats want white Americans to pay for the sins of the past. Even in states where no slavery was allowed.
A “woke” host of daytime talk show, The View, is a firm believer in reparations. Despite being rich and famous, Sunny Hostin demands reparations for what her ancestors suffered.
She recently was a guest on a show that looks up a person’s family tree. Hostin got to learn about her roots. And you’ll never believe who her ancestors really were. Because she didn’t!

ABC’s The View host Sunny Hostin was shocked to find out that she is a descendant of Spanish slave owners. Despite the ancestral revelations, Hostin has previously vouched for and advocated for slavery reparations…“I just always thought of myself as Puerto Rican, you know, half Puerto Rican,” she said. “I didn’t think my family was originally from Spain and slaveholders.”
It’s actually a surprise that the show revealed this tidbit to Hostin. The liberal talk show host learned she descended from Spanish slave owners. She claimed she was shocked and “disappointed.”
She had long advocated for reparations for the ancestors of black slaves. By her own standards, she would be the first to cough up cash for reparations, since her family made a living “on the backs of others” as she put it.
But it does not seem as if Hostin is getting in line to give up her money in the name of “social justice.” She does, however, still support the idea of reparations. Considering Democrats demand the government to shell out the money, Hostin might not even have to lose a red penny.
Some might wonder how a person cannot change their minds, after learning such a bombshell. It appears Hostin, like so many other liberals, refuses to admit she was wrong. We’ve seen in many cases where Democratic policies have resulted in disaster. Yet, despite this, Democrats continue to push ever-increasing levels of socialism and big government.
